This publication is an empowering educational resource for all members of the workplace fighting homophobia and discrimination

The following is a summary of “Open Up Your Workplace: Challenging Homophobia and Heteronormativity.” It is the first in a set of two books created by the transnational partnership called TRACE (TRAnsnational Cooperation for Equality). TRACE is comprised of four national organizations: Deledios of France, Open and Safe at Work.lt of Lithuania, Partnership for Equality of Slovenia, and Beneath the Surface of Sweden.

Through this book, these organizations aim to fight sexual orientation-based discrimination in workplaces across Europe. Their method involves fighting homophobia on the whole, which they see as caused by heteronormativity. In this book, the authors uncover the interworkings of these constricting social norms, hoping to promote awareness among all members of the workplace. The book goes on to challenge people to resist the social forces that are at the heart of such discrimination.
