How to become a GALE Partner Organization

GALE Partner Organizations are the organizations implementing local projects, while exchanging their experiences on the international level. GALE Partner Organizations distinguish themselves from other organizations on a range of issues:

• They support the development of professional education on LGBT issues
• They know that even good products and expertise can always be improved
• They want to collaborate to identify, enhance and share experiences on education about LGBT issues (the GALE mission)
• They encourage other parties to redevelop and re-use products and do not protect their (GALE) products with copyrights
• They are interested in exchanging information across borders and cultures
• They are willing to function in GALE teams, which collaborate on strategy, fundraising and implementation
• They have shown real interest and commitment before they became formal GALE Partner Organizations
• They are reliable and focused on sustainability of their projects

The first step to become a GALE Partner Organization is to register employees or volunteers as (individual) members of the Global Alliance (this website).
The second step is to get involved and become active in the Alliance. You can do this by submitting articles or even better, by joining one of the virtual groups. This way, you can show your commitment.

The third step is to ask a to be invited to your Regional Strategy Group. This is a group of people from Partner Organizations and other invited experts on the region. The Regional Strategy Group will check whether you and your organization seems reliable and a potential good partner, or expert enough to advise on regional strategy choices.

The fourth and final step to become a GALE Partner Organization is to formally engage in a contract with Empowerment Lifestyle Services, which is the GALE Partner Organization which coordinates the GALE projects on the world level.
